Within the past year, I had a new home constructed entirely
out of ICF. My contractor/builder Ed Robak suggested that I
use ICF construction throughout the home instead of
conventional lumber. I am ecstatic over the results. The
benefits of ICF construction compared to a traditional wood
constructed home are enormous. The house is cooler in the
summer and warmer in the winter. My utility costs are down
year-round. Another big benefit
I enjoy is how quiet the home is compared to a traditional
wood home. There is virtually no wind or street noise. The
house is just solid! There are no creeks or rattles during
storms. Overall I am very satisfied with the use of ICF. With
today's energy costs and changing weather patterns, I would
strongly recommend it for anyone building or renovating a
home.

We recently undertook an expansion of our home with an addition to
the back including a family room and master suite. The entire
construction was done with the ICF Forms. The process was
interesting to watch. The end result is a super structure, which is
extremely well insulated, a fantastic sound barrier and has an added
benefit of deep window sills. We are very satisfied with the entire
process and would recommend it to anyone.

Ed Robak and his outstanding crew have just finished adding a room on my house. To say I am thrilled with it
would be the understatement of the year, as it is the best and easiest project I have undertaken in my 82 years. I
only wish I had known of ICF construction and radiant heat years ago when my husband and I were raising our five
children. ICF construction is not only solid and a wonderful form of insulation, but it is almost sound proof, so, had
it been available years ago, our children would have been products of the old saying that "children should be seen
and not heard"
I still can't quite grasp how the radiant heat works, but there are a lot of new things that people my age don't
understand, but then who cares why it works, as long as it does? What I do know is that it is wonderful. The room
is uniformly warm without any hot spots or cooler areas common in the usual type of heating and is more
economical, because the room stays warm for far longer.
I am very grateful to my architect for recommending Robak Construction, as in my book they are a five star
company...the best of the best. All the men on the Robak team were exceptionally hard workers and very thorough.
They also left my place neat at the end of every day, which is a real credit to Ed Robak himself. Ed is a
perfectionist and makes sure that all the men in his employ take the same amount of pride in the job that he
does. I literally can't praise Ed Robak or his company more highly.
